Working closely with the client and his architects, Oaktree Architectural, we were asked to design the supports for a new first floor loft conversion. The existing structure was unsuitable for the new arrangements and several internal walls were also planned to be removed. We were able to analyse the structure and propose four new large steel frames to provide support and openness for the client’s new rooms. We were also able to tie this into the opening up of the ground floor whilst maintaining the stability of the property.
