Our chartered civil engineering background proved invaluable to our client in his double adjudication with the main contractor concerning responsibility for water seepage through the running surface of this 'Indie' style racetrack.
It was necessary to quickly understand the geotechnical mechanisms involved so that informed discussion could take place with client’s experts.
We then wrote the first draft of the client’s referral document and, with solicitors, presented this to the adjudicator. At the same time the main contractor commenced his own proceedings against our client which in turn required a technically based response document using contractual terminology which we were responsible for writing.
We consider that we saved our client costs because of our unusual combination of specialities namely civil engineering qualification and practise to chartered status as well as our over twenty years experience in contractual matters.
