On behalf of our client who was a large civil engineering contractor based in the north east we competitively priced a highways works package at a transport interchange scheme in South Yorkshire and achieved 'preferred subcontractor' status.
During the second phase of the bidding process we negotiated a further £1.0m of extra works and during the currency of the sub contract we added a further £350k to what was a fixed price lump sum bid.
